Since I started as a kid in photography, I've been capturing images of our homeless and hopeless. Two things remain true as I've seen it, the spirit is the last thing to die in a human and we truly do need each other. When I was a teenager I would photograph the "characters" of the city and talk with them about life. As an adult I do the same but understand their stories a lot more. Maybe it's the loner in me, but I'm always looking for the solo person in their environment as I try and capture what life is like in that moment.
