Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

While working on my Snoqualmie River series, I was standing in the river on a day with bad light, rough water and a broken heart. My Father, who started me in photography as a child, had recently died and that feeling of loss brought on so much emotion that I was not prepared for. I started talking out loud at the river as if he was there and I was telling him that even if all looks bleak on the surface, look deeper and you'll find what you're looking for. This is something we did during our travels together as I would teach him new ways of seeing an old scene. All the photographs are produced with me in the river and there is absolutely no manipulation of any kind with these images. All the magic is created in the camera and by looking deeper into my imagination. This series is dedicated to my Father.
